Harold Nelson, a welder, started Nelson’s Tents out of his garage in 1979.  Harold loved going to outdoor events.  When Harold saw many events ruined by bad weather, he decided to start making tents in order to make the events weather proof.   

In 1987 Harold’s son, Jack, took over the business.  In  1989 Jack Nelson moved Nelson’s tents to its current location in Cold Springs, KY and added linens and wedding accessories to their portfolio.

Under Harold’s vision and Jack’s leadership, Nelson’s tents  has grown into one of the premier event companies in the tri-state area.
